WHAT'S THE MEANING OF YOUR PAIN?

pain image

The purpose of this blog is to address the pain which brought you to our office. As a practice member, you already sat through a new patient report orientation and experienced an initial set of adjustments.

You have also read several handouts and now understand that function, control, and healing come from the brain and the spinal cord, or from within, and not from the outside.

Each of you has a condition in your spine known as Vertebral Subluxation, which is interfering with the vital nerve impulse and ultimately is creating malfunction of organs, tissues and cells.

When enough tissue and cells have malfunctioned and died, an area has now malfunctioned to the point where it has resulted in pain. When someone is experiencing pain or symptoms, it usually means you have come into the office in the later stages of a problem.

If you’ve reach this point of care, it means we have been able to identified your Subluxations, and we are making specific adjustments.

I will be checking your spine during the next phases of care to correct, stabilize, and minimize any stress cause by Subluxations, which is the actual reason you came into the office.

What brought you into my office was not necessarily to correct the cause of the pain but to fix it.

And as you should realize that I will not direct any care toward fixing your pain but correcting the cause that ultimately will allow your body to heal itself.

Remember, however, we Chiropractors are human as well, and having been in pain, we of course want this problem corrected as quickly as you do.

First, before any pain relief will occur through Chiropractic, there must be enough adjustments to take the stress off the nervous system. At times, this could take weeks or months.

Every patient who comes into the office is different. There are practice members who have experienced headaches, back pain, neck pain, digestive, breathing, sinus or other health problems, some for ten to thirty years of their lives and after three adjustments, the pain went away.

Adjustments were continued for six to twelve months to correct the Subluxation, but 95 percent of their office visits were pain free but this only happens for about 5 percent of the population.

The second type of practice member who comes in and has had problems for 10 to 30 years and is recommended Chiropractic care for 6 to 12 months, may be adjusted 50 times during a 6 to 12 months period before there is total pain relief because the problem was there for so long and the body is stubborn in correcting.

In addition to the problems people come in with, is the fact that their lifestyle continues to traumatize their body, such as leaning over a computer or desk, sleep improperly, work stresses, sports, poor diet, etc. This practice member also represents approximately 5 percent of the population.

Very few practice members get immediate relief and just a few take the whole recommendation period before there is relief.

Chances are, you are in the 90 percent and will experience relief after enough repetitive adjustments during four to six weeks. You may start to see a very noticeable change in your healing process but continued care is needed to correct your Subluxations.

Please understand that none of you are alike. God made us all different, and if you give Chiropractic enough time and faith, the body will restore life, nerve flow will improve, the rebuilding of tissue cells will occur, the malfunction of the area which brought you into the office will begin to heal, and you will FEEL BETTER-LIVE BETTER-PERFORM BETTER.

If you have any questions after reading this, please feel free to discuss them with me.
