Simple Strategies to Reduce Your Stress and Avoid a Sedentary Lifestyle

One way to reduce the chance of slipping into a sedentary lifestyle and minimize the effects of stress during your day while being quarantined is to develop the habit of creating a written schedule routine. 

If you would set a time aside before going to bed or first thing in the morning to schedule out your day, you may be able to reduce the stress and become more productive during your day with a written routine schedule.

It is known that a good routine can become a habit if you are consistent with the routine after 30 days.

Here are some tips to consider when developing your routine:

1. Schedule your wake up and bedtime.

2. Set up hydration strategies for the day.

3. Set aside personal time for spiritual devotions.

4. Have exercise and recreational time.

5. Consider your diet selection and meal times for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

6. Have computer and cellphone time, and decide when you will disconnect from these devices.

7. Make time for phone calls.

8. Allow yourself time to catch up on the news, but try to limit this time.

9. Have family time.

10. Limit your alcohol consumption.

11. Schedule a movie.

12. Set a time to turn off TV and media.
