Beating The Flu!

Beating The Flu!

This is the time of the year when the general public starts sniffling, coughing with a headache and digestive distress. It seems like the catch all diagnosis for the condition is the FLU. The Flu shot is available nearly everywhere. Much controversy is discussed in the media and natural health field on the efficacy of the Flu vaccine; should or shouldn’t you?

Here is a question I would like to pose to you: What causes the FLU to occur now? My answer always will include “SUGAR”.

Yes, you read it right. Sugar is everywhere. Americans are addicted to it. I have read statistics starting anywhere from 150 to 175 pounds per person per year. You might be questioning; what does SUGAR have to do with the Flu or getting sick anyway?

The answer: Sugar paralyzes your body’s white blood cells from doing their job.

One can of soda, according to David Frahm ND, Editor of Health Quarters Monthly, has nearly nine and one-half teaspoons of sugar. Generally a white blood cell can scavenge and destroy 14 bacteria in one half-hour. A can of soda sabotages the white blood cell from doing its job and only ten are taken out per half-hour.

Now a brownie can slow the white cells from doing their job down to five per half hour. And finally a piece of apple pie or ice cream can stop the white blood cells in their tracks and only one bacterium is destroyed in a half-hour.

What does this mean to you? It means that you, your child, grandchild, Sunday school children or co-workers will continually have sniffles and poor health as long as they eat sugar.

Don’t believe me? Try this if you can. Go without sugar for three months and see what happens.

I have patients do it all the time. By the way - chromium supplements and eating protein tends to curb the sugar tooth.

Peppermint leaf herb supplementation assists the body in controlling the Flu bug.
