Micro Nutrient Testing

Micronutrient Testing measures your body’s ability to absorb 35 different vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, amino acids and other essential nutrients within white blood cells. An advantage of Micronutrient Testing over conventional testing is the analysis of white blood cells. Analyzing white blood cells gives a more precise measurement of a person’s nutritional status over a much longer period of time. Testing can evaluate if nutrients are being absorbed, functioning properly and assess any nutrient deficiencies.  Recommendations are geared toward supplying nutrients to correct any underlying deficiencies negatively influencing your health.

Included in the Micronutrient Testing is a comprehensive easy to follow nutrient program that allows you to know exactly which supplements are needed for optimizing nutrient consumption. Test results can help prevent unnecessary spending on costly supplements not required for your individual needs.
Scientific evidence confirms vitamin deficiencies can be associated with disease processes and the overall conditions of your health. Vitamin, mineral and antioxidant deficiencies have been shown to suppress immune functions and contribute to chronic degenerative processes such as arthritis, cancer, Alzheimer’s, cardiovascular disease and diabetes. One of the many benefits of Micronutrient Testing is it can help reduce the risk of sickness, illness and diseases related to nutrient deficiencies.

How do I get my Micronutrient tests?
Our office provides Micronutrient Testing through our Functional Nutrition program. We recommend a consultation and completion of a health assessment questionnaire. This assists in getting better acquainted with your current health status. A simple blood draw is then done. This blood draw is sent to be analyzed by a special lab. Results are then formulated into an individualized supplement program so you can begin to optimize your nutrient health.
